when's the worst time to lose your purse at the mall?

if your answer was "when you just cashed a check and your purse has $500 in it" you are correct!

yeah...that seriously happened to me today.
luckily i did some mad, crazy person running and made it back to the store i was just in and found it untouched!

seriously the closest i've come to having a heart attack.

and also the closest i've come to shoplifting.

i was in another store holding a shirt when i realized i didn't have my purse and didn't even think when i started to mad, crazy person run out of the store with it.
don't worry, Matt was smart enough to notice and took it back for me.

no wonder I hate going to the mall, only bad things happen there!

so besides that little ordeal, today was a pretty awesome day!

Matt and i went thrifting for our Halloween costumes and hit the jackpot!
usually it takes us forever to find what we need but the thrifting Gods were on our side today and we found almost everything!

it probably helped that our costumes are much more low key this time.
we don't have the time for any huge extravagant costume making because of the shop and moving and all but i still love what we decided on!

so Ewok Cozies have been selling like crrrrazy lately.

like to the point where i'm sitting here thinking, hmm i wonder what the heck is going on in the world that ewoks are suddenly hot hot news.

(and apparently only internationally because all these orders are coming from outside the U.S.)

then one of my customers gave me the answer.

our Ewok Kindle Cover was featured in a Yahoo article on Best Kindle Covers for Geeks!

excuse me while i do a couple flying jump kicks and a happy dance to some 80s music because i think that's amazingly cool!

and in honor of the Ewok Cozy becoming famous on Australian Yahoo we listed an iPad version!

he's extra adorable because he looks extra chubby!

it's no big secret that i love me some David Tennant.

and i know he's already made an appearance in my shop in feltie form but i felt i needed him in cozy form too.

hi blog! remember me??

i'm completely slammed with orders right now! it's unbelievable!

so unbelievable, in fact, that i had to lower the hours of my day job so i can have more time for crafting!

living the dream up in hereeee!

i just wanted to take a quick crafting break and share some things with everyone.

first of all, my etsy shop name has changed!

it is now Life Geekery!

as soon as i get ahead on orders i'll be adding new cozy designs to the shop and there might even be a geekery blog full of hi-larious posts from both me and my amazing hubby!

so stay tuned for that!

also, i had sooo many people asking me for the Harry Potter cozy in Nook sizes that i went ahead and made them their very own listing!

and just so you all know i'm still alive and kicking here's some pics to prove it!

yet again i was amazed when Matt sent me a message with a link to the slashfilm blog and i scrolled through and saw my Harry Potter Cozy!

i think Matt was extra excited about this one because he's a nerd and reads slashfilm every day and listens to their podcasts.

H Pitty has FINALLY made an appearance in the Two Peas shop!

because every kindle needs a special home to sleep in and what would be better to keep your little kindy safe than a wizard??

the chewbacca cozy is made with furry felt that makes it look extra extra amazing!

matt has officially deemed it his "favorite of all time" and demanded i make him one for his phone to sleep in.

i also completed a Tenth Doctor feltie upon request!

now i'm already a huge David Tennant fan because he's quirky and funny and a hottie mchott but this little guy made me love him even more!

so nerdy and cute!!

my own phone sleeps in the ewok cozy and just loves it!

but then your kindle is gonna be sad that they don't have one, like mine is.

i guess i'm just gonna have to make one for little Kindy to sleep in now!

Hobbes Stuffed Animal

so i FINALLY finished that Hobbes commission i've been working for-e-ver on and i must say, i was quite pleased with him when all was said and done!

he's made with fleece and mostly sewn by machine and stuffed with fluffy poly-fil.

the stripes, eyes, nose and mouth are felt and all sewn on by hand which is what took the longest.

i want to make another one just for me because he is so cuddle-rific!

p.s. Matt got the hint and bought me the olloclip i wanted!

get ready for a lot more fisheye pics from now on!

HUNGER GAMES TONIGHT!!!

i seriously cannot stop listening to this song!

i know i posted that video forever and a half ago but really, it's worth listening to over and over and over and over.

so like i said, excitement beyond belief over here!

my sister-in-law's friend rented out a theater so we get to see the movie at 6:15 instead of waiting in line for-e-ver until midnight like everyone else!

WHAT UP!

the only thing that could make tonight even more magical is if Matt and i had actually made matching Hunger Games shirts like we joked about doing but then didn't have time to make.

Matt said he would've been on board with a Team Haymitch shirt!

and of course i'll be sporting my mockingjay pin tonight!

lately

i have been super super busy lately making items to sell!

over the weekend i had a couple people request commission work from me so i've been a busy little girl with pattern making and fabric cutting and sewing sewing sewing!

matt and i have also been playing Draw Something nonstop!

this game makes me laugh so hard because my drawings are so completely horribly terribly bad.
