boost our spirits

thank you so much to all the people who have given us so much love and support after i shared our news.

it's been a little like a roller coaster of emotions up in here but we're making it through and we had a fun and exciting weekend to boost our spirits!

on friday night Matt went to a baseball game with his daddio so i decided i'd take a little trip to visit my favorite flagstaff sister!

i packed up my chubby penguin suitcase and we were on our way!

we had an awesome time shopping where i made Sari try on hideously hilarious shirts.

and we ate junk and watched movies and talked the night away!

i also felt like a total loser because i missed Matt like crazy and we were texting back and forth like we did when we were dating.

cut me some slack, i can literally count how many nights Matt and i have spent apart on one hand!

the next morning, after a breakfast of blueberry pancakes made chock full of love, i drove home and decided something, i kind of like driving long distances by myself.

i find it pretty relaxing.

apparently i would make a good trucker.

and when you're listening to comedians the time goes by really fast.

 and then you see things on the road that remind you of jokes that they tell.

"you had logs? but i was told..."

p.s. if anyone hasn't listened to brian regan, we're not friends anymore.

it was a super short but really fun trip!

and bonus, Matt missed me like crazy so he took me out for a super fun date on saturday night!

we went to Lolo's Chicken and Waffles and now i can die a very happy girl!

i had been craving fried chicken and this seriously was perfection!

and that waffle! AH! 

most people don't know this about me but i love waffles more than any other breakfast food and these were like heaven imprinted with little tiny squares.

it seriously tasted like a churro in waffle form!

and now i want one right now!

then we went to see the movie we had been waiting for, Safety Not Guaranteed

it was suuuch a great movie!

i love love loved it!

watch trailer or else.

and of course, Matt's favorite line in the movie...

and just watching those 2 videos has now made me want to go see it again.

Matt, when you read this you have to take me on the EXACT date we went on on saturday, deal?

also, for all you peeps that are instagramers and noticed my post full of instaphotos you can be friends with me!

Weekend

this weekend we were busy little bees around this house.

i spent my time doing more ornaments and plushies which will soon be in the two peas in a space pod Etsy shop!

woot woot!

if you've been wanting a certain themed ornament or plushie for a long time but just haven't been able to find the right one you should email me and i'll make it for you! 

we're mostly beyond nerdy at the moment.

if you can ignore the fact that i'm dressed up in the best early christmas present ever ever ever, A PENGUIN ONESIE, then you can see the little ornaments all hanging on the tree including angry birds ornaments!

honestly, the best part of my weekend was getting that onesie!

thank you Amy and Chase!!

i am now the proud owner of 3 onesies but this one is by far the best!

i will be sleeping in style all winter long!

Matt was busy this weekend too being the best hubsy ever and fixing up my blog!

 did you notice my blog got a makeover??

i love it!

the little things make me happy

i am happy to announce that my house is getting a little cleaner with each passing day!

i can fit my car in the garage again!

which is very good since our lame HOA left me a mean note on my car telling me to move it since i don't have a permit to park in the parking lot.

does this mean that my garage is now clean?

no way jose!

but since my car is so teeny tiny i was able to stack, thrown away, and rearranged everything so my car now perfectly fits.

i am amazing.

also, i am very excited because matt put up the tv that was in our store in our bedroom!

we have not had a tv in our bedroom the whole time we've lived in this house!

crazy, i know.

but now we do and we LOVE it!

actually, i love it during the day but it's really putting a damper on my already horrible sleeping habits.

oh well, i'll get over it!

we also put up some nicer curtains in our bedroom since i washed the other ones and shrunk them so they didn't fit anymore.

oops!

totally funny show that i don't think matt likes so now i watch it while he's at work!

PENGUIN BAG!!!

that's right people, i found a super awesome penguin bag at walgreens and it was love at first sight!

usually matt doesn't let me get things like this but hello?! it was only $5 so he just couldn't refuse!

i love love love love love it!

i can't wait til matt and i go on a trip and i can use it as my airplane bag or something!

everyone will be so jealous!
