CHRISTMAS!

our little Christmas tree looked very happy this year with all the presents under it.

it was almost a shame to take them away so we could get all the goodies hiding inside!

on Christmas day we had to be at the Mason house around lunch time so we slept in just a little bit before getting ready and opening our presents from each other.

we didn't take pictures of opening stockings but basically it was a lot of candy and some little fun things.

just what a stocking should be!

then came the good stuff!

NEW SHOES!

i always have to get Matt new shoes for Christmas since he wears the same pair all the other days of the year and needs new ones by then.

and he got me some black vans!

i didn't even wrap the lego Darth Vader alarm clock when i put it under the tree because i was so excited when i found it that i showed it to Matt right away.

yeah, sometimes i like to spoil Christmas presents.

but he loved it!

he had to open it RIGHT AWAY!

he even used his next present, a Leatherman keychain thingy, to open up the back and stick the batteries in.

he's been wanting this Leatherman keychain forever and he was so cute when he opened it!

he had to show me every little thing on it.

Matt also got the book Between a Rock and a Hard Place.

it's the book that the movie 127 Hours is based off of.

he also had to open that right away.

you know you got good presents for someone when they have to use it immediately after opening right?

GO ME!

we didn't have time to use this present right away but if we did i'm sure Matt would've put it in the DVD player immediately.

the Family Guy Star Wars Trilogy!

if you haven't seen them, watch them!

they're more like how i would describe the Star Wars movies to somebody.

Matt also got a Scott Pilgrim t-shirt.

and new jammie pants.

now the next present is my favorite.

i spent months working on it and it was a huge pain in the toosh but i knew Matt would go crazy for it!

when i told him i was sewing something for him he thought it would be something Star Wars-y.

boy was he wrong.

Hobbes was a huge hit!

he's always wanted a stuffed Hobbes but they don't sell them so i finally made him one!

it's not perfect or anything but he's cute!

and perfect for snuggling!

even Padme loves him.

he is our new little tiger friend.

he lives up on our shelf now with his books so everybody can see him.

and even though Matt totally ruined his other secret present by snooping on my Amazon i still let him have it.

the Scott Pilgrim comic book set.

he was a happy boy!

he couldn't wait to open it and immediately pulled out the bonus poster that comes with it.

along with every comic book to show them to me.

basically, Matt totally scored when it came to Christmas presents this year!

now my turn!!

on every present of mine Matt wrote a funny name on it.

he likes to make me laugh.

he got me these awesome wooden puzzle pieces because he always says we are puzzle pieces and he's going to paint pictures of us on them and then we can hang them up!

how cute is that??

then i got the movie i wanted to satisfy my Sandra Bullock crush!

and then i picked up a present that felt like it weighed 1,000 pounds!

and i was so excited that the 1,000 pound gift was this cook book!

i found it online and it doesn't have just recipes but how to cook certain things the right way and what all the weird cooking terms mean and all that cool stuff!

i was very excited to learn things.

i also got the thing i wish i had for all the gifts i made for Christmas.

Matt was even nice enough to get me dairy free cookies to satisfy my need for chocolate!

and don't worry, we didn't forget about Padme.

she got her very own stocking to play with.

and a brand new penguin toy!

which she absolutely loves!

but still, she seemed pretty pissed to see us opening more presents when she didn't have any more under the tree.
